HIS Radeon X1650XT IceQ Turbo Review

Posted on Wednesday, November 29 2006 @ 12:58:46 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

During the testing phase we did notice a few stability issues with the HIS Radeon X1650XT IceQ Turbo, which is why this product will not be receiving any kind of an award at this stage. For the most part the HIS Radeon X1650XT seemed pretty solid. Generally we run a few of the more stressful benchmarks first, such as 3Dmark2006, and then move on to the quicker less stressful tests. After the frame rate tests are complete we like to stress test the graphics cards in a variety of games for at least 24 hours. The HIS Radeon X1650XT lasted just 30mins in X3: Reunion before it would lockup and then restart the system. Occasionally, the ATI VPU recovery would kick in and bring us back to the WindowsXP desktop.
