    OCZ Tempest CPU Cooler Review

Posted on Wednesday, November 29 2006 @ 20:08:06 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

While testing on a dual core X2 3800+ AMD processor, we found that the Tempest was good enough to allow our system to run at stock speed. Judging by the load temperatures, we would not expect the Tempest to allow us extreme overclocking, but we could overclock up to 500MHz while maintaining temperatures below 60ºC. If you’re looking for a small sized CPU cooler that does the job right, the OCZ Tempest is probably the suitable cooler for you. Priced at $50, the OCZ Tempest is not too expensive considering that you are getting a CPU cooler with excellent bundle and bright blue LED fan.
