AMD Athlon 64 Quad FX74 Review

Posted on Thursday, November 30 2006 @ 14:35:51 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

With the release of Intel's quad core pulled up early AMD had to make a move to counter. The move was 4X4, quad father, or as it is now called Quad FX. Basically they are taking the Opteron 1207, getting Asus to make a custom board, and tweaking to allow for the usage of non server DDR2 memory. The question is if enthusiasts want this kind of power did they already do it using the Opteron route, or is anyone out there waiting for Quad FX?
