    NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX Review

Posted on Tuesday, December 05 2006 @ 19:13:25 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

The GeForce 8800 GTX is clearly targeted towards widescreen users and you might end up wasting your cash if you plan to run it below 1280x1024 resolutions. Priced at $599 a piece, the GeForce 8800 GTX is not for budget users. Although the GeForce 8800 GTS at $449 may look a little attractive, we suggest you guys wait until DX10 games hits the stores. We would also like to see how NVIDIA responds to the AMD (or ATI) team when they announce their DX10 lineup. If you’re looking for a solid graphics card with budget not being an issue, the GeForce 8800 GTX is surely a next generation graphics card that is available in the current generation. Just remember to have a really good PSU and a big enthusiast-class chassis if you plan to cage this monster in your desktop.
