Breif Look @ SuSE 9.1 Pro Review

Posted on Monday, July 19 2004 @ 13:00:16 CEST by LSDsmurf

In the year 1991 at Helsinki, Finland, Linux Torvalds, a 21 year old, sandy haired youth who liked to play with computers and push the limits of their design, awoke the sleeping penguin that is now known as Linux. SuSE was founded in 1992 and released their first distribution in 1993. Since then, the company has grown and in January of 2004, the Novell corporation of networking fame bought into the company. This marks a major change for the Linux community since Novell can add years of networking experience to the codebase used by developers and strengthen some of the code where needed.
