The ASUS Commando motherboard is the 3rd in ASUS' flagship "Republic Of Gamers" line of motherboards. The main draw of these top-end motherboards are their purported superior overclocking capabilities. For the Commando specifically, ASUS claims a jaw-dropping maximum front-side bus speed of 570Mhz, something not yet reached by the Intel P965 and 975X chipsets, Such extreme overclocking and all the included bells and whistles no doubt command a hefty price premium - the Commando retails at US$260. Is this board really deserving of the price tag, or is this just another pile of marketing bloat with nothing behind it?
