    ABIT AG8 Motherboard Review

Posted on Monday, July 26 2004 @ 20:12:00 CEST by LSDsmurf

It’s been roughly one week now since we posted up our findings covering ABIT’s i925X offering, the AA8-DuraMAX. We found that the AA8-DuraMAX offered stellar stability, solid performance, and pretty good overclocking considering the current situation of overclocking i915 and i925X motherboards. Today, we’re going to take a look at ABIT’s i915P offering, the AG8. The AG8 offers a better option to those users who wish to upgrade to the latest LGA 775 / PCI-Express platform, but simply don’t have the money to support some of the other costs involved such as DDR-II. The AG8 doesn’t offer quite the bells and whistles we found with the AA8-DuraMAX, but how does it compare versus our two i925X motherboards for performance? How well does the AG8 overclock in comparison to the AA8-DuraMAX? Read on to find out!
