LG GSA-4120B Triple Format 12x DVD Rewriter Review

Posted on Tuesday, July 27 2004 @ 12:03:08 CEST by LSDsmurf

The write speed started at 6x and jumped to 8x after 400MB of data was written. This writing technique is slightly better than TDK 1280B, which started from 4x and jumped to 6x and 8x at around 350MB and 1.6GB marks respectively. As the result, the average speed for TDK 1280B is 7.08x while LG GSA-4120B is 7.81x. In our actual burning test, GSA-4120B took 7min 48s to write 4.37GB of data while TDK 1280B took 9min 30s, their different was 18%!
