    Corsair DOMINATOR Twin2X2048 9136C5D Review

Posted on Wednesday, February 28 2007 @ 13:28:44 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

Most DDR2 memory modules designed to operate at over 1000MHz feature generic heatspreaders that were used to cool DDR-400 memory modules. These heatspreaders are no longer good enough to cool high-end DDR2 memory. The fact that not only the cooling solution but also the PCB board has been completely re-designed to handle the increased thermal loads is incredibly impressive. The temperature results were amazing and at 1126MHz these modules operated cooler than competing DDR2-800 solutions.
