Although Intel’s “Bearlake” P35 Express chipset is yet to be officially released, many motherboard makers already have boards out in the wild sporting this supposedly unreleased chipset. Recently we were able to pickup the P35-DS4 from Gigabyte and what a motherboard it is! While the P35-DS4 is a little expensive priced just above $200 US, we have found it to be worth every penny...

The Gigabyte P35-DS4 is an impressive motherboard and it’s safe to say that Intel’s latest desktop chipset is also quite a success. Although the P35 offers no performance gains over existing P965, 975X and nForce 680/650 chipsets, it does support a few new key technologies. The official 1333MHz FSB (Front Side Bus) support was an obvious addition to the P35 chipset, though it’s not exactly a new feature. While the nForce 680i was originally the only chipset in the nForce 6 series to support the 1333MHz FSB, Nvidia has now added this support to all their nForce 6 chipsets.
