Elsewhere, the 7K1000 has all the features you would expect from a
modern hard drive; spindle speed is 7,200rpm, the interface is 3Gbps
SATA-II, and it supports Native Command Queuing (NCQ). The onboard data
buffer is a whopping 32MB and it even has a legacy Molex power connector
- something the Seagate doesn't have - for those of us with ailing power
supplies.
