    Akasa AK-855 K8 Heatsink Review

Posted on Wednesday, December 24 2003 @ 14:52:21 CET by LSDsmurf

Let's jump into the wayback machine for a minute, and travel back to February of this year, when SystemCooling.com gave you one of the very first looks at an Opteron (K8) heatsink, the AK-851CU, made by Akasa. This basic design has returned, updated to fit all Socket 754 and 940 systems, and is specifically intended to fill the gap between stock OEM cooler and the all-copper mega cooler. The AK-855 is targeted primarily at white-box system builders, but also has the potential to very nicely fill the budget performance niche.
