Today we take a look at the hugely anticipated Accelero Xtreme VGA cooler from Arctic-Cooling. This new high-end VGA cooler comes in two versions, allowing support for both Radeon HD 2900XT/Pro and GeForce 8800 GTX/GTS/Ultra graphics cards. Although there are already a number of after-market VGA coolers designed for these products, none are quite like the new Accelero Xtreme!

The Accelero Xtreme 8800 is an exceptional performer, as we saw almost a 40% drop in temperature when upgrading from the standard cooler. Furthermore the Accelero Xtreme 8800 was also able to reduce the operating temperature of the memory by 35% when under load. Few if any VGA coolers offer the kind of all round package that we have seen from the Accelero Xtreme 8800, which certainly makes it one of the best solutions tested to date.
