    Digital Audio Editorial Review

Posted on Friday, October 01 2004 @ 16:57:03 CEST by LSDsmurf

The upgrade went without a hitch which is a bit of surprise, as AMD64 and nF3 are still relatively new products. However, I noticed multi-channel audio was gone in games and audio applications from my AV receiver that is hooked up to the onboard S/PDIF connector; the receiver was playing back stereo sound even though it is a 5.1 receiver and the driver was set correctly. What went wrong? Why didn't the 5.1 receiver give me the 5.1 audio via S/PDIF in games?
