    Asus Maximus II Formula Review

Posted on Thursday, July 31 2008 @ 07:43:43 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

We expected the Asus Maximus II Formula to be all things to all men and in some ways it does deliver. It has all the toys, a great layout, and it looks the part as well. Nevertheless it doesn't quite add up to a great whole. In essence, in our review of the Biostar TPower I45 [linkout:http://www.trustedreviews.com/motherboards/review/2008/07/10/Biostar-TPower-I45/p1] we said ‘… it’s hard to see why you’d prefer the Biostar to an Asus P5Q Pro, a P5Q Deluxe or an MSI P45 Diamond’ and, unless you're desperate for all the toys, you can say exactly the same thing about the Maximus II.
