When we first tested the Radeon HD 4850 we were simply shocked at the kind of value if offered, delivering a level of performance that was unmatched by the GeForce 9800 GTX, at around $100 US less. For this reason the Radeon HD 4850 became the best value graphics card we had seen in years, possibly ever. However despite offering such an extreme level of performance at next to nothing, the Radeon HD 4850 did have one small weakness and that was cooling.
