    Nikon Coolpix 4800 Review

Posted on Saturday, October 09 2004 @ 14:33:33 CEST by LSDsmurf

Nikon's first entry-level "Super Zoom" camera (as of 9/2004), the Coolpix 4800 combines a 4.0-megapixel imager with a high-quality Nikkor ED 8.3x optical zoom, which covers 36-300mm (in 35mm equivalence.) This is a simple point-n-shoot camera that offers the ease of fully automatic operation, with the option for users to choose from 11 pre-programmed scene modes (Party/Indoor, Beach/Snow, Sunset, Dusk/Dawn, Night Landscape, Close up, Museum, Fireworks, Copy, Back light, Panorama assist), or use one of the 4 Scene assist modes (Portrait, Landscape, Sports, Night Portrait), which offer a selection of framing assist options to help users compose pictures with framing guides displayed.
