If you're flirting with the idea of picking up golf as a hobby and want a video game to try it out, Tiger Woods Golf 09 would be a good $40 investment to see if you have patients for the sport. A set of clubs is a lot more then Tiger's game. Also, Also, for the multiplayer enthusiasts, the game features the AD HOC mode where you can take on your friends in a variety of golfing events. As for the people who watch golf when they want to take a nap and can't do it otherwise, my advice to you is to stay away from this game. If golf on TV puts you to sleep then golf on the PSP will do the same; only if you fall asleep holding your PSP you might drop it and if it breaks you'll end up having to get a new one.
