    Nikon CoolPix 8700 Review

Posted on Tuesday, October 12 2004 @ 19:26:01 CEST by LSDsmurf

The Coolpix 8700 is introduced worldwide on January 8, 2004 by Nikon. This model takes over the top position from the Coolpix 5700, which was the top model so far. The new Coolpix 8700 is a full digital camera in a compact housing similar to the housing of the Coolpix 5700. The 8700 is equipped with an 8x optical zoom range. This type of digital cameras aims at the consumer with a considerable knowledge of digital photography or the consumer who is ready for a new photographic challenge or at the photographer who seeks to lift his knowledge onto a higher level. The Coolpix is Nikons flagship with which Nikon starts the competition. Competing brands have all brought their own 8 Megapixel version on the market and they all share one feature: a large optical zoom range up until a maximum of 8x.
