Penny Arcade Review - Episode 2 Review

Posted on Monday, November 17 2008 @ 12:07:59 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

On The Rain-Slick Precipice Of Darkness – Episode Two is an RPG based around the comic book look. Everything in the game is extremely cartoonish, and the game itself plays like the traditional turn-based RPGs. Personally, I'm getting tired and bored with the overabundance of button mashing RPGs (Final Fantasy Crisis Core being a good example) so I was extremely pleased with what I saw in Episode Two. The game was fun to play from every aspect of gameplay. The story was good, the characters had wit and personality, the gameplay was extremely smooth, easy to learn, and not even that hard to master. The sound, even though a bit lacking was still better than some of the full priced RPGs out there, and the graphics, even though very cartoonish in nature, managed to give this game a unique and original look.
