    Nokia 9290 Communicator Review

Posted on Friday, October 15 2004 @ 23:20:00 CEST by LSDsmurf

Taking a look at the mobile phone landscape, one obvious upcoming trend is the smartphone. My definition of a smartphone is basically any phone which also attempts to replace a PDA, is able to handle third party applications, features some way to synchronize its data with a computer and has a form factor which should make it easier to use as a PDA. One of the first manufacturers to experiment with this class of device was Nokia with its 9000 series communicator. Nokia followed that device with the 9100 series communicator which was never released in North America. Most recently Nokia has released the 9200 series which has a colour screen which I will be reviewing today.
