    Thecus N3200 NAS Server Review

Posted on Friday, December 19 2008 @ 14:39:59 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

Thecus is targeting the SOHO user or Home Office user with the N3200 NAS file server. With a price online of around $320, Thecus has done what it has set out to do. The N3200 supports up to 3 TB HDDs with a compatibility list on Thecus's website. Note that the drive list on Thecus's website does not list the Terabyte Western Digital drives, and only the 36GB WD Raptor SATA drives. Larger Raptor drives should work as they only have higher numbers of platters. We tested the system with three Hitachi Deskstar 1TB HDDs with a 32MB Buffer and a 7200RPM Rotational speed.
