Survival horror is about experiencing a terrifying and deeply personal fiction. Dead Space delivers the chilling, claustrophobic feeling of being isolated in a dark environment, while being stalked by horrific enemies. Very similar in atmosphere to Resident Evil, Dead Space is a scary game that should be devoured by hardcore horror fans. If you’ve never understood the appeal of scary games - or movies, for that matter - Dead Space won’t change your opinion. If you dig sci-fi and horror, you’ll be blown away by the cinematic visuals and outstanding gameplay. We can’t say the storyline is overly original (lost-on-a-desolate-spaceship blah, blah, blah...), and the objectives get a bit repetitive (constant toing and froing), but nonetheless it’s strong enough to create a compelling gaming experience that every Resident Evil fan should try. We are already eagerly awaiting Dead Space 2.
