Belkin N+ Wireless Modem Router Review

Posted on Friday, February 06 2009 @ 18:36:31 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

The number of 802.11n draft 2.0 routers with ADSL modems are few and far between, so it’s great to test a really good product. Belkin’s N+ is a very good performer, managing an excellent average throughput of just over 70Mbps in our tests, making it suitable for both novices and seasoned networkers. At distance it was slightly less impressive (as are all wireless routers), but all-round it’s still a very performer and a match for any 802.11n draft-2.0 router. It’s also a snap to set up and works well for media sharing. For the money, it’s excellent value. There’s no OLED display or gigabit Ethernet, but corners had to be cut to keep the price so competitive.
