Patriot 6GB DDR3 PC3-12800 1600MHz Viper Series Low Latency Kit Review

Posted on Friday, February 20 2009 @ 14:35:00 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

Patriot currently have 8 kits available for Core i7 with each kit split into Bandwidth (1333 or 1600), size (3x1GB or 3x2GB) and then Latency (CAS 7 for 1333MHz, CAS8 or CAS9 for 1600MHz). In today's review we will be investigating the range topping 1600MHz, 8-8-8-24 6GB kit which weighs in at a very reasonable £178. Normally, kits with this level of performance usually cost the thick end of £200 but Patriot, while hardly a budget brand, are very aggressive with their pricing and bring premium products to the market place without the high cost.
