Tyan Transport GX28 B2881 dual Opteron 1U barebones server Review

Posted on Monday, October 25 2004 @ 17:36:54 CEST by LSDsmurf

It is no secret that Opteron has penetrated the 2P server market with rave reviews. 2P servers are of course are where the volume is, and therefore where the money is to be made. So it makes sense that Tyan has entered the bare bones server market, and of course they have a full lineup of Opteron models from 2P to 4P supporting configurations. Today we are looking at the Transport GX28 (B2881) which supports two Opterons and comes with hot swappable SATA RAID support.
