HornetTek Hover hard drive enclosure Review

Posted on Thursday, May 21 2009 @ 09:56:28 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

Storage is important, everyone knows that. However, sometimes it is nice to have external storage rather than internal storage. If you decide you want an external hard drive simply slide your SATA drive into an enclosure like the Hover. How does the Hover perform? Wait and find out.

These are sleek and good looking enclosures. I thought it to be a great idea that there were 2 fans to pull off heat so I bought 2 of them...both of them, almost immediately, started humming with fan noise. It's hard to believe that the HornetTek people didn't know these drives are prone to this annoying shortcoming.
