Star Trek: The Voyage Home HD Movie Review

Posted on Saturday, May 23 2009 @ 12:50:15 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

On initial release Star Trek: The Search for Spock divided critical and popular opinion, but money speaks all languages; the film made its entire budget back in the opening U.S. weekend, so Paramount quickly started to assemble what would become Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home.

Leonard Nimoy, who directed the previous entry The Search for Spock returns to helm this film. Many Star Trek fans cite this as their second favourite entry in the franchise, with a self reverential tone and just a little self mocking. The mid 1980’s setting has aged the film slightly, but it’s all in good fun.
