Asus K8N-E with the nForce 250gb Ultra Chipset Review

Posted on Thursday, November 04 2004 @ 01:51:57 CET by LSDsmurf

Since the introduction of the nForce chipsets, AMD has had a solid partner that is always willing to innovate in the chipset market. Where before SiS and VIA ruled, Nvidia now delivers chipsets with cutting edge features at great prices. While AMD doesn't produce it's own chipsets, Nvidia and VIA have really stepped up and created some great products, where before you had a fragmented and poorly implimented market, you now have a solidified and very stable environment for AMD processes to perform. I have thought for a long time that this is where AMD failed, they never wanted to produce chipsets and those that did often half half-baked ones that required driver updates every other week, BSOD's, video display problems, and sound problems were abundant, those days are gone.
