    Invelos DVD Profiler 3.5.1 Review

Posted on Tuesday, June 30 2009 @ 13:31:32 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

DVD boxes sitting on a shelf in your home lack life and personality - they can only give you so much information. DVD Profiler is a gem of a program that not only organises your titles, but also includes additional information like cast list, summary and special features. With DVD Profiler you’ll never again be stuck staring at a wall of DVDs trying to decide what you actually want to watch. All you have to do is use the software’s search filters and you’re good to go. It even has a random pick option, should you want to spin the wheel of fortune. Using the software is a breeze and there were only a few movies I couldn’t find using DVD Profiler’s search. The icing on the cake is that all details pulled in are comprehensive. DVD Profiler is unquestionably a brilliant piece of software. But it’s not without its limitations. Lack of support for Unicode makes it impossible to enter Asian DVD titles correctly, there is no option or support for movies on VHS or those located on your hard drive, and you can only export your movie collection to an XML file. However, most other DVD Collection Software will import XLM files directly from DVD Profiler. Additionally, DVD Profiler does not import any file types, from any program, but you can backup your database to a local or removable drive. For movie buffs not worried about these few inconveniences, DVD Profiler is worth every penny.
