Vantec NexStar NST-355UF 3.5" External HD Enclosure Review

Posted on Tuesday, November 09 2004 @ 17:52:29 CET by LSDsmurf

One of the significant changes to the product is the repositioning of the Power and HD LED display from the rear of the unit to the front. With the NST-350UF, consumers had only one single LED as a visual queue for Power and HD activity. The new unit expands this feature by using a series of blue coloured LEDs. The enclosure of the NST-355UF also includes a series of ventilation slots which run down the left and right hand side of the unit. The ventilation slots address concerns with air circulation and cooling once a HD is installed into the unit.
