Samsung i730 QWERTY Pocket PC Review

Posted on Thursday, November 11 2004 @ 23:23:35 CET by LSDsmurf

What can we say? We claim loyalty to no one—not the Treo 650, nor the BenQ P50, nor anything else. So yeah, we’ll admit our heads were definitely turned by this hot little Samsung slider number, the i730, which is host to some pretty impressive features: dual-band EV-DO, Windows Mobile for Pocket PC, 2.8-inch QVGA (240x320) 65,000 color touch screen, 64MB RAM, SDIO expansion card slot (What? Someone say WiFi?), dual stereo speakers, and our fave… a full QWERTY keboard hidden underneath that sizeable screen.

The Samsung i730 has great form factor. The keyboard is much easier to type on, compared to the membrane keyboard of the Audiovox XV6600.

Biggest complaint to date is that you cannot make or receive phone calls while using WIFI.
