    Fujitsu PDS4209/ PDS4214/ PDS4229 Review

Posted on Sunday, November 14 2004 @ 20:02:35 CET by LSDsmurf

The Fujitsu monitors were some of the first in the marketplace. Everyone is told that other manufacturers use the Fujitsu plasma screens in making their monitors - which is partly true. However, the built in panels and converter/ scalar/processors are different for different manufacturers.

The PDS4209 replaced the PDS4203 around a year ago and it will be replaced soon by the PDS4229. How a manufacturer decides on a model number must be like throwing darts - why not PDS4203 to PDS4204 to PDS4205? Too easy to follow that way I guess.

This device was stunning when new. It broke after 1 1/2 years and cost $2000 to fix. I acquired the service manual and learned to service it myself to keep it running. This device is a $7000 piece of EXCREMENT.
