At first glance it seemed like it wouldn't be very useful, but at the end of the day it was actually quite a nice device to have around. It takes your phone or media player and gives it a secure home to sit where you can still use the device and view it more effectively. The only real downside is that it costs around ~$40.00 and that is not cheap for a device that merely holds your iPhone or Zune. . .
