Half Life 2: Multiplayer Revealed Server and Client Side Review

Posted on Friday, November 19 2004 @ 12:23:47 CET by LSDsmurf

We have already seen how Half Life 2 performs on several PCI Express video cards on the nForce 4 Ultra. But what about multiplayer? Months ago we learned that Counter-Strike Source would be the multiplayer portion for Half Life 2. We were a bit disappointed as we had hoped for the chance to play in the spacious interactive maps from Half Life instead of the familiar CS maps. Well today we learned from HL2World that indeed there was a hidden multiplayer mode in HL2, and they provided commands to enable a server. Better yet we found a couple of test multiplayer maps had also been made.
