For HTPC users the Envy 24HT-S Chipset is one that meets and exceeds most of our needs in terms of audiophile levels of sound quality. One place where HTPC's differ from normal PC's is in the preferred chipset for the sound... Having the ability to produce bit-perfect sound with zero modifications being performed on the sound by Windows is a must.
