This leaves the ReadyNAS 104 as an option for those that can really only afford to spend up to $250 on a 4-bay NAS. Had the 104 been at least twice as fast as it was in our upload tests then it would be a serious threat to all 4-bay NAS devices priced below $500. As it is, the ReadyNAS 104 is simply too slow to justify investing in, which is a shame.
