The only good news for the Core i7-4790K is that it costs the same amount as the 4770K at $339 and it’s clearly faster. This then is also good news for consumers looking at purchasing a Core i7 processor as they now get a bit more bang for their buck. Those already rocking a 4770K processor can simply change their clock multiplier to x40 and receive 4790K performance.
