I purchased my PSP the day it came out. It is very impressive, I don't have a pixel problem or a button issue. It is unfortunate that some people are having issues with the product's quality. I think the machine has a few minor issues to work out but that's like anything else in this world. They even do constant recalls on cars. Nothing is perfect. I think the best idea is to wait a few months b4 buying one. I happened to be in a rush to get one :)

The ONE complaint I do have is the silly value pack. The EARBUDS are horrible. Sound quality is some what decent and after a while of wearing them they start to hurt. If you have an ipod use the ipod's ear buds instead. They are much more comfortable. But getting back to the value pack, I think it's silly. The only thing the PSP should come with is itself, a PLAYABLE not a WATCHABLE LOL demo disk, a wrist strap, a charger, a battery and a memory card. Without those silly earbuds it would probably lower the price about 20$ or so. But I don't think 249$ for a brand new product is obsurd. If you think it's too much, wait. Another thought is that the games are pretty pricey but their prices will drop quick on games over time as they become old and new ones come out. It's inevitable, it happens with every handheld system. The movies are cool because they are cheap about 13$ not 35$ for a DvD which is cool in it's own way I guess.

Overall it is a really cool system. I like it. I just want cooler games to come and they will. Hopefully a silent hill or a resident evil :) that would be nice. I am sorry to those out there that have defective systems. I have always held SONY to high standards and I am quite suprised that this has happened to one of their products. Hopefully this issue will be rectified soon. Goodluck and enjoy everone!
