    Shiki Tohno grew up seeing threads of life and death, fibers that connect everything in the world together, only he wasn't quite sure what they were until he met Arcueid. As a child he was given special glasses that filtered out these threads, and he kept the secret from his friends and family since he felt his gift to be a defect. Little does he know, this gift will help him to protect those around him from an ancient and sinister evil that threatens to destroy everything he knows..
