The M42 comes with the usual assortment of features: PixArt's PMW3389 sensor, Omron switches for the main buttons, a 58 lightweight honeycomb design, flexible cable, and pure PTFE feet of high quality. Additionally, the M42 is modular and can be used with a low or high-profile back cover.
