DameWare NT Utilities (DNTU) is an enterprise system management application for Windows NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista which allows Administrators to go beyond the limitations of Microsoft's Management Console (MMC). DNTU provides an integrated collection of Microsoft Windows NT administration utilities, incorporated within a "easy to use" centralized interface for remote management of Windows Servers and Workstations. Most all of the standard utilities are included within DNTU's powerful Explorer-style interface, many of which have been greatly enhanced to provide superior performance, added functionality, and ease of use. DNTU also contains custom NT tools including the DameWare Mini Remote Control program and the Exporter, and also supports the use of standard shell property pages and shell context menus.
NT Utilities:
Added enhancements to DNTU's Client Agent Service (DNTUS26.EXE) with
regard to displaying Interactive Users on the Shutdown View. Must remove
existing DNTU Client Agent Service on the remote machine and reinstall
this new version.
Enhancements to Help Modules.
Could not paste information into HostName/IP-Address field in TCP
utilities Views. Fixed.
Mini Remote Control:
Protocol Revision. User will be required to update the MRC Client Agent
Service on the remote machine, and will be notified as such upon
connection.
Implemented RSA BSAFE Crypto-C Micro Edition cryptography module for
FIPS 140-2 compliance when operated in FIPS Mode.
New SFT drop window feature within Client Agent Service on the remote
machine, so users can drag & drop files to the window for easy file
transfer. Simply hold Shift + click the Download Folder toolbar icon or
select View / SFT Drop window from the MRC main menu.
Various enhancements to eliminate reports of solid blackor white screen
after connection and stuck at Initializing......
Various enhancements for Remote Clipboard & SFT Shell Menu
functionality.
Various enhancements to MRC Import feature for Saved Host Entries, to
accommodate for fields with embedded commas and other special characters
(must be surrounded by quotes), or blank fields (i.e. field1,,field3).
Added enhancements for O/S implementations with Multiple Desktop,
instead of just the default Desktop.
Added “Would you like to try to reconnect?” option to Winsock 10054
disconnect dialog.
Added enhancement to the “Reuse any MRC window that is not busy”
feature to not use any window that is currently waiting to Reconnect on
Ping reply.
Added new “Keep aspect on Smart Sizing” option under Local Global
Options.
Changed Loopback warning message box to new Vista style message box with
URL links
"Use Remote Desktop (RDP)" flag could mistakenly be enabled
for a Saved Host Entry. Fixed.
Created new files for SFT shell menus (DWRCSh32.DLL & DWRCSh64.DLL).
DWRCShell.DLL file no longer used, to eliminate potential conflicts with
older versions.
Exporter:
Fixed issue with “OEMLogoBitmap” attribute in Win32_ComputerSystem
WMI class Export.
