AbiWord is a free word processing program similar to Microsoft Word. It is suitable for a wide variety of word processing tasks. AbiWord v2.6.2 is the latest stable release, which compared to v2.6.0 contains several bugfixes and enables the experimental collaboration plugin on the Windows platform (we never released v2.6.1 publically).

This release includes the following changes (and more!):

We've enabled the experimental collaboration plugin on the Windows platform. This plugin allows allowing users to collaboratively work on the same document in real-time. The user interface is still a bit rough around the edges, but this will be improved upon in future AbiWord releases. Make our presentation plugin work. Fix a bunch of small bugs in our XSL-FO, Applix, LaTeX, WML and HTML import/export filters.
