    Mame 0.85

Posted on Tuesday, August 10 2004 @ 02:22:52 CEST by LSDsmurf

The latest version is 0.85 (5061 supported ROM sets, 2851 unique games). For each release, four binaries (executable programs) are posted here: One for Win32 console, one for DOS, and i686 optimized versions for both. The K6 optimized version is no longer available because its speed gain on the current AMD Athlons was not significantly better than the i686 version. The source code for MAME is always available here as well (Remember to read the license!). It is a magnificent repository of historical arcade hardware and software information. You can also find some programs and libraries needed to compile MAME, links to MAME ports for other platforms, miscellaneous files, free ROM sets, sound samples and artwork (bezels, backdrops and overlays).
