    IceTea 1.0

Posted on Tuesday, January 30 2007 @ 15:02:19 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

    What is IceTea?
IceTea was built in mind to incorporate all the good features regarding the PSX<->PSP converters into one single package. By using wxWidgets as the graphical output it also enables Linux/Mac OS X users to experience IceTea. IceTea is open source released under the GPL. (Feel free to recompile it for any platform wxWidgets support :) )

IceTea allows you to convert your old PSX CD's for use in the Sony PSP system with the OE firmwares present. It is also capable of creating the corresponding ingame manuals as well as customizing the menu appearance. You may also re-extract the ISO from your converted games.

What PSP firmware version do I need?
You'll need the OE firmwares from Dark_Alex. At least 3.03 OE-C! IT DOES NOT WORK WITH THE OFFICIAL 3.03 FW PROVIDED BY SONY! Attempting to run the generated Eboots prior to 3.03 OE-C will fail! You can get 3.03 OE-C here: http://dax.lan.st/ Beware: http://www.dark-alex.com is fake!
