DigiTimes writes the launch of Intel's Santa Rosa notebook platform has been delayed from the first to the second quarter of 2007.
The delay will affect Taiwan notebook makers' shipment plans for next year, which had already taken into consideration the new platform's launch, according to the sources. The sources did not specify the reason for the delay, but Intel was cited by the paper as denying there would be a delay.
Intel said it never announced a specific launch date, but promises the platform will arrive in the first half of 2007.
