Intel Conroe benchmarked in FEAR

Bit Tech was given the chance to play with Intel's Conroe and posted some benchmarks.

They configured FEAR the way they like it and compared the results with numbers from their own reference lab. Here are the results:

F.E.A.R. (640 x 480 pixels, 0xAA, 0xAF)
  • Conroe: 346FPS
  • Intel Overclocked FX-60: 247FPS
  • Reference FX-60: 253FPS
  • Reference Pentium XE 955: 213FPS
  • The only weird thing is the reference FX-60 that scores better than the overclocked FX-60. Maybe this is because the system in Bit-Tech's test lab is slightly more tweaked or features slightly different hardware.
