Xbox 360 Did Microsoft Miss The Mark With It's Release?

Hopefully I am writing this at the end of the 360 shortage, and we will start to actually see the lovely machines in the stores, but realistically there is still the need for other reasons to buy the system. Right now I have my Battlefield 2 for the PC, and my FIFA 2006 for the PS2, so I could possibly wait to decide which system I want, because I have already made it this far, why not wait a little longer?
