AMD to announce price rises and falls

The Inq writes AMD is preparing some price changes as a leadup to the launch of its Socket AM2 processors.
That's according to AMD Board, which said even though the chips are likely to be launched at Computex, resellers have been informed of the rises.

AMD has a problem similar to Intel's in that it has to reduce stock levels and time its announcements to collide with its bigger brother. Intel has tackled this problem since February by offering its channel large rebates on certain SKUs (stock keeping units).
