Yesterday Microsoft's MSN search engine experienced sporadic outages.
The seriousness of the service disruption wasn't immediately clear. Some users who queried MSN search this afternoon saw a message saying that the service was "temporarily unavailable." The links to the content posted on the site were operating normally.
"We became aware of an outage with MSN Search at approximately 8:30 a.m. PDT today and have been working to resolve the issue since; the service is coming back online now, we are working to diagnosis the problem and apologize for any inconvenience," says an MSN spokeswoman in an emailed statement.
